Dracula
Sound Designer
Dracula was performed as a part of the Grandon series at Theatre Cedar Rapids. This design featured a combination of period music and original music as well as a plethora of sound effects which were distorted with audio effects to make them sound otherworldly. The overarching goal was to create an immersive atmosphere for this production in our black box theatre.
Listen below to hear samples of audio from the production. In this recording you will hear voice overs altered to fit the tone and style of the production, original music compositions, and original and augmented sound effects. The recurring melody heard in this sample is used throughout the show as underscore, transitional material, and sung text. This is an original melody and is used to create a link between three characters; Dracula, Mina, and Lucy.
